Technique: Blowpipe pontilled, freeblown, ribbed, everted lip, 17 clockwise turns of glass threading on neck, blown from a single piece of glass (foot not added later). Curiously, as of May 2013, the open space in the foot appears to be 80-85% filled with cloudy liquid. Curious to know how and when it got trapped inside. (PC-120) Region: Possibly Persian. Estimated Date of Production: Mid 1800s. Dimensions: 270 mm in height, 85 mm in circumference. Weight: 307 grams. Colour: Medium Cobalt Blue. Technique: Glass pontilled, freeblown. Description: Smaller than most sprinklers. Imperfections are obvious in this sprinkler – the tip of the mouth has sagged, and the base clearly touched against something in manufacture. There is a chip off the base, but the base is not round – it juts out at the chip point, and it looks as though the sprinkler touched some other object – glass or otherwise – and the blower merely...

Colour: Medium blue. Technique: Glass pontilled, freeblown, vertical ribbing in neck. Decorated with gilt and flowers. Description: Imperfections are obvious in this sprinkler – the sides of the mouth touch, which can’t have helped in use, and there are manufacture lines on the curved neck – the grind marks on the base to flatten the pontil are somewhat ever.
